We are consulting the community on proposals for up to 600 new homes, a new hospice building for locally based charity St Catherine’s and a community hall, shop and café run by the charity.

The new homes will suit a variety of needs and help to address the growing demand for new homes in Sussex. The proposals include bungalows for the elderly, starter homes for first time buyers, and high quality family housing as well as affordable homes. The community will also benefit from a new community hall, shop and café that will surround a central village green interlinked with a network of formal and informal spaces, connecting to the woodland surroundings.

The new hospice building will be an integral part of this community and provides St Catherine’s with an opportunity to respond to the growing demand for hospice care locally and capture the hearts and minds of more local people to encourage them to think differently about hospices.

Our planning application was considered by Mid Sussex District Council on Thursday 24th November. The committee voted unanimously to approve the outline application.
